Who I Work With
At Root and Bloom Therapy, I work with adults who are navigating the messy, funny, stressful, beautiful chaos of being human. My clients often come to me wanting support with things like ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, perfectionism, burnout, relationship patterns, identity exploration, or just the sense that something feels off and they’re ready to understand why. I offer telehealth therapy across Ohio, and EMDR is available for trauma-related concerns and patterns that feel stuck.
You don’t need to have the “right words,” a perfect backstory, or a neatly organized reason for being here. If you’re overwhelmed, stuck, overthinking everything, or tired of repeating the same patterns, you’re in the right place.

My Therapy Style
My approach is conversational, collaborative, and very real. We’ll mix the deeper work with moments of levity, warmth, and yes—some humor—because therapy doesn’t have to feel like a solemn march through your entire life history.
Here’s what you can expect:
-
A grounded, judgment-free space where you can show up as yourself—messy, honest, unsure, whatever.
-
Short-term tools when you need something practical right now.
-
Long-term work to understand your patterns, heal old wounds, and build lasting change.
-
Open conversations where you can ask questions, share doubts, or say, “I don’t even know where to start.”
-
A collaborative vibe—I’m not here to dictate your life, but to walk with you through it.
What We’ll Focus On
Depending on your needs, we might work on:
-
Understanding patterns and behaviors that don’t serve you anymore
-
Building emotional regulation and coping skills
-
Healing attachment wounds and exploring relationship dynamics
-
Managing ADHD symptoms and creating systems that actually work for your brain
-
Reducing anxiety and strengthening self-trust
-
Untangling self-critical thoughts, perfectionism, or burnout
-
Processing trauma in a paced, safe way (including EMDR when appropriate)
We’ll go at your speed. I won’t drag you into anything you’re not ready for, and I won’t let you avoid the thing you do want to change. It’s a balance—and we’ll find it together.
How We’ll Work Together
Our time will be a mix of:
-
Talking through what’s coming up for you
-
Exploring where it comes from and why it feels so heavy
-
Trying new tools, perspectives, and strategies
-
Checking in about what’s working and what’s not
You don’t have homework (unless you want it). You don’t need to show up with a script. Just bring yourself.
My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling understood, supported, and a little more equipped than when you walked in.
Not the Best Fit
Sometimes therapy is all about finding the right fit—and that matters here too. Root and Bloom Therapy may not be the best fit if you’re looking for:
-
Couples or family therapy
-
Therapy for children or teens
-
Court-related evaluations or documentation (custody, legal letters, etc.)
-
Higher-level or crisis services (for urgent safety concerns)
If you’re not sure, you’re always welcome to reach out. I’m happy to help point you in the right direction if I can.
